Shamrock Technologies to Debut Novel Coating Additive at European Coatings Show 2025
Newark, New Jersey, USA – February 28, 2025 – Shamrock Technologies, a global leader in the manufacturing of specialty additives for the coatings and ink industries, is thrilled to debut its latest development for coating applications, UltraMATTE 56, at the European Coatings Show (ECS), March 25-27 in Nuremberg, Germany. UltraMATTE 56 is an aqueous flattening paste that provides improved durability and extreme matting with improved burnish and abrasion resistance. In ultra-low gloss coatings, it provides less discrepancy between 60° and 85° gloss readings versus traditional silica matting agents. In addition to these attributes, UltraMATTE 56 can be easily incorporated at any stage of the coating-making process and can be post added for gloss adjustments without significantly increasing viscosity.
During ECS, Shamrock’s team of technical experts will be available at Hall 1 Booth 519 to discuss the attributes and benefits of UltraMATTE 56, as well as a comprehensive range of specialty additives, including:

•Wax emulsions, dispersions, compounds
•Texturing products
•Bio-based waxes
•PFAS-free alternatives
•Microplastic-free options
These products cater to a wide array of coating applications such as powder, wood, can, coil, and UV, as well as liquid and paste inks.
