Printing Ink Additives – Liquid, Paste & UV Solutions

Printing ink additives such as wax powders have been used to provide rub resistance since the first bible was printed. Shamrock developed micronized wax in May 1967 to facilitate the production of consistent quality rub-proof inks. We later discovered that PTFE micropowder enhanced the level of rub provided by wax alone.

We offer a wide range of products as powders, emulsions, dispersions and compounds. These additives help to lower the COF and improve the rub resistance of printing inks and overprint varnishes, with controlled effect on the gloss, clarity, and surface feel in some applications.
