SST®-3-RC is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) micropowder and is produced to be in compliance with EU regulatory requirements.
SST®-3-RC
SST® products are Shamrock’s PTFE micropowders that are defined by particle size and distribution, molecular weight, crystallinity, surface area, oil adsorption, powder flow, and color. Made primarily from highly controlled recycled PTFE feedstocks, SST® products are used for their ability to provide slip, non- stick, water repellency, texture, release, rub, and abrasion resistance to surfaces.
Product Description:
SST®-3-RC is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) micropowder and is produced to be in compliance with EU regulatory requirements.
Applications:
SST®-3-RC is developed as a performance additive to enhance surface properties in inks and coatings. It is recommended for use in powder, paste and liquid formulations, including water-based, solvent-based, and UV inks and coatings systems at 0.5 – 3.0% of total formula weight. It may be used at reduced loadings when paired with Shamrock’s S-394 N1 or S-395 N1 polyethylene waxes. It is recommended to use 0.5 – 1.0% PTFE when used with 2.0 – 5.0% polyethylene wax.
