PTFE Micropowder

Shamrock’s NanoFLON® Series consists of nano-sized PTFE powder. NanoFLON® makes it easier to add key fluoropolymer properties to your product, including slip, abrasion resistance and release. The ultra-fine powders are engineered using our own proprietary process that allows easy dispersion and primary particle sizes as small as 200 nanometers.

Product Description:

NanoFLON® 119N-RC is based on prime PTFE which is agglomerated form of emulsion polymerized sub-micron primary particle sized PTFE and are produced to be in compliance with EU regulatory requirements.

Application:

NanoFLON® 119N-RC is a performance additive designed for various thermoplastics and elastomers to reduce friction, stick-slip, and enhance anti-wear properties. Complete dispersion into primary particles for optimal performance can be achieved by pre-mixing in high intensity mixers and extruded as a concentrate or masterbatch.

 

NanoFLON® 119N-RC may be compounded into polyesters, polyamides, polystyrene, polyvinylidene fluoride, and other engineering plastics and blow-molded into thin films to impart the desired surface slip.

Recommended Level:

5 – 20% as a compound, and 3-5% as a final additive.
