UV Screen Inks
UV Screen printing or applied ceramic labeling is the process by which ink is pushed through a screen onto the substrate. Shamrock texture products gives the final ink surface a three dimensional raised appearance and texture. Examples of this can be found in the industry on printed glass bottles, CD’s, DVDs, plastic decorating, etc.
Abrasion resistance is the ability to withstand the effects of repeated rubbing, marring and scuffing, and to preserve print integrity and quality. Products such as S-394, S-395 and SST-3 can greatly improve the ink’s abrasion resistance.
Undesired adhesion may occur under temperature / pressure / long storage leading to visible damage to print integrity when the substrates are separated. To prevent this, we recommend hard waxes such as S-395.
