NanoFLON® 160N is a low molecular weight PTFE that consists of loose agglomerates of primary particles. The high surface area of these free-flowing powders makes them efficient thickeners. Its small primary particle size allows it to fit between point contacts between mating surfaces, and into small asperities, to prevent wear, and improve release properties.
Sub-Micron Polytetrafluoroethylene Powder
Shamrock’s NanoFLON® Series consists of nano-sized PTFE powder. NanoFLON® makes it easier to add key fluoropolymer properties to your product, including slip, abrasion resistance and release. The ultra-fine powders are engineered using our own proprietary process that allows easy dispersion and primary particle sizes as small as 200 nanometers.
NanoFLON® Series powders are Natural Prime PTFE micropowder with various agglomerated particle sizes.
NanoFLON® Series Powders are designed for thermoplastics and elastomers to reduce friction and enhance anti-wear properties. NanoFLON® Powders can be dispersed into submicron primary particle size.
NanoFLON® Series Powders can be compounded into polyesters, polyamides, polyacetals, polystyrene, polycarbonate, and other engineering plastics. NanoFLON® is also effective in elastomers and blends of various engineering plastics.
