In 1975, Shamrock discovered that the combination of PTFE and wax provided slip and rub/abrasion resistance that neither could do alone. FluoroSLIP® products are formulated on this principle.

Product Description:

FluoroSLIP® 893-A is a stir-in powder blend of spherical micronized polyethylene (PE) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).


FluoroSLIP® 893-A was developed using a new process to produce a smooth surface on each individual wax particle while maintaining a narrow particle size distribution. This new manufacturing process, which we call Controlled Morphology, imparts extra rub resistance properties.
